The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association is reporting the death of author James P Hogan on 12 July 2010 in their most current newsletter to members. This information has been confirmed by his agent.
Mr. Hogan died at his home in the Republic of Ireland on Monday, 12 July 2010 at the age of 69. No further information is available at this time, including cause of death.
Hogan, who won three Seiun Awards and 2 Prometheus Awards, wrote the “Giants” series, beginning with his debut novel, Inherit the Stars, as well as The Proteus Operation and Thrice Upon a Time. He had just released his most current novel, Migration, on 11 May 2010.
